Proba-3 mission and our door assembly

Proba-3, the technology demonstration of highly-precise satellite formation meets fascinating science.

The Occulter satellite blocks the Sun. The Coronagraph satellite hosts the respective instrument. It is pretty straightforward, isn't it? Don't be mistaken, there is plenty of new technologies and techniques behind it. Flying 144 meters apart with a few millimetres of precision is a demanding task. Well, it is the world’s first precision formation flying mission.

The satellites are undergoing testing now. The launch is scheduled for 2024.

We are involved in the mission. We developed the door mechanism of the coronagraph. It is nice to see it in the ESA photos.
